W.O.W. Confirmation

What is it?

Confirmation is a three year learning experience for 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grade students.
It culminates with students going through the rite of Affirmation of Baptism in October of
their 9th grade year. Students worship together, gather in small groups to study the scrip-
tures, share their lives and learn how to be followers of Jesus.

What’s it Like?

It’s high energy, exciting and interesting. You’ll worship with people your age singing
songs you can relate to and hearing a sermon that makes sense and is easy to follow. You’ll
receive Holy Communion each week and be involved in the leadership of worship. You’ll
break into small groups led by committed, caring adults who will guide you in deeper dis-
cussion on the Bible and how it connects with your life. You’ll spend time connecting with
your friends, catching up and seeking God together. You’ll want to come back every week
to experience more.

What else do I need to know?

W.O.W. (worship on Wednesday) start at 6:00pm on September, 8th and runs till 7:30pm.
Students are required to attend both worship and small groups. Parents are strongly en-
couraged to worship with their children on Wednesdays.

Campfirmation

All students are required to attend campfirmation, usually the summer after their 8th
grade year. Campfirmation will be held July 17-23 in 2011.
